Anxiety & Phobias

Helping you to restore calm & live more fully

You may have arrived here because…

  • You might feel disconnected from family, friends and co-workers or easily irritated by those closest to you.

  • You might be experiencing physical symptoms like exhaustion, stomach aches, headaches, and sleep problems.

  • You may have racing thoughts, negative thinking, or feel disconnected from reality, like you’re just a robot and not really present.

  • Maybe you struggle with a strong fear of objects or situations (phobias) which get in the way of how you want to live your life.

Whatever your reason for being here, I’m glad that you found me. Please read on for more detail about my anxiety & phobias service.

Anxiety or future fears can overwhelm you.

Anxiety is part of our natural survival system. But if you experience it consistently, it can feel overwhelming and scary.

For some people, anxiety can also become linked to specific fears or phobias, where certain situations or objects trigger a strong emotional and physical response, even when there is no real danger.

Anxiety and phobias can be related to past negative experiences that get triggered in the present. Ongoing anxiety, fears or phobias keep your mind and body in a constant state of alert.

I help you to restore calm and live more fully.

I can work with you, using EMDR therapy, to identify the root causes of your anxiety and help you to process difficult emotions and experiences, reducing their intensity and impact.

I’ll help you to reframe negative beliefs, such as feeling incapable or overwhelmed, into more positive and adaptive ones.

If you experience phobias e.g. of flying, or visiting the dentist, I use EMDR to help you overcome these fears so they don’t stop you living a full life.
