Online Academic Supervision
Compassionate & practical academic support for therapists
Hello, I’m Lynda – a psychotherapist with academic training – offering practical yet compassionate support to therapists wanting to feel more confident and capable in achieving their academic goals.
Have you ever noticed that there’s lots of clinical support in our profession, but not much support for the academic side of things? This may be because academic supervision is quite different, requiring a specific academic skillset, that can be hard to find.
My expertise
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I was an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham for 14 years. I taught and supervised degree, masters, and PhD level students. I was passionate about working with my students to help them develop their best work.
I also published my research and reviewed other researchers’ work.
Get support tailored to you
I combine academic supervision skills, experience of research and writing case studies, and my knowledge of psychotherapy, to support and guide you in doing written work, including dissertations, case studies and accreditation.
I offer different levels of support depending on your needs. If you’re interested in my service see the sample packages illustrated below. These can be tailored to meet your unique needs.

Testimonial
"Working with Lynda as my academic supervisor was one of the most positive parts of my psychotherapy training experience. She made me feel supported, listened to, and genuinely encouraged my work.
She explained complex ideas in a clear and grounded way, and her feedback was always thoughtful, honest, and constructive. I always felt like she was truly invested in helping me do my best.
I feel very lucky to have had Lynda as an academic supervisor, and I’m really grateful for the time, care, and expertise she shared with me.” (Anonymous)
